The rotary mining scrubber spins slowly, similar to a giant washing machine. It churms the fines and oversize and water together, vigorously breaking up the soil matrix as well as liberating the target mineral from tough clay, schists and rock.
After the fine or soil is separated, the material is moved into the screen. The rotating screen separates the oversize material from the fines ( the fines are usually termed or actegorized into less than 8 mm). Most of the freely gravity recoverable gold and or other recoverable mineral is contained in the 8 mm fines.
This material is then passed on to the downstream process equipment which can be in various forms as centrifugal Concentrator, Spirals, Jigs, etc.
The mining drum screen mainly consist of motot, reducer, drum units, racks, etc. Inclination of drum equipment, motor is connected by reducer and drum unit, the drive drum rotate around its axis.
When the materials go into the drum unit, due to the inclination and rotation of drum unit, which makes qualified materials come out by the outer screen, substandard materials come out by the end of rotary screen. This action is repeated with each revolution along the length of the drum. The finer material passes through the screen openings while the larger material tumbles towards its eventual exit at the rear of the drum.
