Ball Mill is a type of grinder used to grind materials into an extremely fine powder mainly for use in the mineral processing industry. Ball Mills can grind various ores and other materials either wet or dry, depending on requirements. Ball Mills consist of a large cylinder which slowly rotates around a horizontal axis. The cylinder is partially filled with the material to be ground plus the grinding medium (metal grinding balls). Inside the cylinder, the medium will be lifted to a certain height under the action of centrifugal force and then drop or fall, grinding the ore in between the balls as they interact. Feed material to be ground enters the cylinder via a hopper on one end and after being crushed by the grinding medium is discharged at the other end.

Structure Sketch
The ball mill is composed of feeding device, discharge device, rotation device ,speed reducer, small transmission gears, motor, and electric control part. The Hollow Shaft is made of cast iron, the inner plates can be changed, the large rotating gears are manufactured by the casting process, and inside the cylinder is equipped the wear-resistant plates, it has good abrasion resistance. The machine is running smoothly, it works reliably.

Ball Mill Working Principle 

The Tapered Ball Mill has a Horizontally positioned tubular cylindrical structure, with external gear, two lattice-type chambers. The materials are entered the first chamber of the mill through the feeding device, in this Chamber has plates Staggered or wave-shaped plates, and also loads the steel balls with different sizes, the cylinder body rotates and produces the centrifugal force then it carries the balls at a certain height and then they fall. That's why it performs the impact and grinding functions. After the grinding function of the first chamber, the materials are then taken to the second chamber for Finer shredding, and in this Chamber the smooth plates are fitted and the steel balls are also loaded.
