  High tension (High voltage) electrostatic separator is an dry separating equipment in the high voltage electric field, which eliminate the mineral according to the differences of materials electricity nature.

  It adopts the different electrical property of all minerals and materials in the nature to realize the separation.The common minerals like ilmenite, magnetite, cassiterite,and native gold etc,have good conductivity property while quartz, zircon, feldspar, calcite, scheelite,and silicate minerals have poor conductivity property,then the electric separator adopts their different electrical property to realize the separation.

  It can separate material which's particle size is from 0.1 to 2 mm and surface temperature is less than 1% of itself. It often works well with the single-disc magnetic separator and permanent magnetic sorting machine in the process of sorting ilmenite, zircon ore and other minerals. PS:those materials mentioned above are hardly qualified when gravity concentration, flotation and magnetic separation are adopted, such problem can be well solved after electrostatic separation is adopted.

Work Principle

Electrical Separation is to electrify wire electrodes with very small diameter with high-voltage direct current to produce corona electric field in the space between corona electrode and grounding electrode. The entire space close to the grounding electrode carries negative charge (positive grounding) at the time and the mineral aggregates have the same chance to obtain electric s while passing through the corona electric field. However, due to different conductivity of minerals, they receive different electricity in the electric field and carry away different electric charges so that ore sands fall along different tracks in the electric field. In this way, good separation conditions are created for minerals with good, mediumand no conductivity.

Roller Electrostatic Separator

Roller Electrostatic Separator Equipment is one of the major equipment in Electrostatic Separation Process mineral separation. It is widely used in sorting titanium, zirconium, rutile, monazite, iron, tungsten, tantalum, niobium, tin and other precious minerals. It can separate material which's particle size is from 0.1 to 2 mm and surface temperature is less than 1% of itself. It often works well with the single-disc magnetic separator and permanent magnetic sorting machine in the process of sorting ilmenite, zircon ore and other minerals.

Plate Type Electrostatic Separator

This machine has the structure of two rows and four stories in each row. Each floor has an earthing curved slide board (stainless steel). On the top it has an arc-shaped high-voltage electrostatic plate (aluminum), which is stationary (but adjustable). When connected to high voltage static electricity, the ore minerals slip into high-voltage field area via earthing arc plate, then conductive minerals charged by induction and attracted to the electrode. Due to gravity, it is discharged from the front which is different from the non-conductive ore. Meanwhile, non-conductive mineral has also been affected by the electric field, but will not be attracted into the lower re-sorting. The process will be conducted for four times until the minerals are qualified.

Connected to power, press the voltage switch button, rotate adjustment handle clockwise slowly, and adjust the voltage to 20-30 Kilo volts.Pull down the handle, adjust the amount of the mine, observe whether the distribution of material is uniform/even in the arc plate, and then observe the effects of mineral separation. Because the mineral colors are different, we can adjust sub-ore mineral board position or the static voltage according to the color selected, when the voltage is high, the amount of conductive minerals will be large, on the contrary, will be less.
