Wet Drum Magnetic Separator Introduction

The wet drum magnetic separator is a commonly used iron ore processing equipment (iron ore magnetic separator) and manganese ore equipment (manganese ore magnetic separator) and is a mainstream strong magnetic separator ore dressing equipment. magnetic intensity can be from 800 to 9000 gauss as per requested, drum quantity can be one , or two or three. Wet drum magnetic separation is suitable for wet magnetic separation of magnetite, pyrrhotite, roasting ore, ilmenite and other materials with a particle size of 3mm or less. It is also used for iron removal of coal, non-metallic minerals, building materials, etc.

Magnetic Separator Conveyor Working Principle

 

When the raw materials flow into the tank body of the dry magnetic separator, the flowing direction of the raw materials is the same as the rotary direction of the magnetic drum, the iron magnetite materials are attracted to the surface of drum. The weak magnetic and non-magnetic materials can not be attracted and will flow to the discharge pipe for tailings.

Drum Type magnetic separator

 

mostly used for separating strong magnetic minerals, such as Iron , magnetite, hematite , ilmenite,ect. Features of this kind magnetic separator :
1.Magnetic intensity: usually low to middle intensity, from 800 gauss to 9500 gauss (on the condition of drum dia -500mm), if drum dia +500mm, instensity can be only 5000 gauss.
2.Process method : wet or dry process available
3.Drum quantity : 1 pc or 2 pc or 3 pcs
4.Feeding position: for wet process feeding material from side of drum, for dry process feeding material from top of drum
5.Adjustable intenstity: NO
6.Magnetic block : 1/3, 2/3,1/4 of the drum, fixed on the machine, not moving when drum rotating.
7.Maxi feeding size: 2 mm
8.Process capacity: Depends on drum size and feeding size.

Roller type magnetic separator

 

Mostly used for separating out weak magnetic minerals, such as Manganese ore, chromite ore, tin ore, wolframite ore, coltan ore,ect.
 Features of this kind magnetic separator :
1.Magnetic intensity: usually high intensity from 11000gauss to 16000gauss, if with belt, the intensity will be weaken a bit reaching 11000 gauss to 13000 gauss, if with brush, maxi intensity can reach 13000 gauss to 16000 gauss.
2. Process method : wet or dry process available
3. Roller quantity : 1 pc or 2 pc or 3 pcs or more
4. Two types: with brush type or with belt type, brush is for help the magnetic minerals to leave the roller more easyly.
5. Feeding position: for wet process, feeding material is from side of machine and with brush, for dry process , feeding material is from top of machine, with belt or brush. 6. Adjustable intenstity: NO
7. Magnetic block: the whole roller is magnetic
8.Roller Diameter: 100-600 mm, most often used diameters are (100-140-160-180-220-240-300-320-380mm), roller length can be (600-800-1000-1200-1500-1800mm)
